Number of doping offenders from recent Kabaddi World Cup reaches 53

The number of doping offenders at the recent World Cup Kabaddi was 53, including those who have either tested positive or refused to give a sample.

In response to the multitude, India's National Anti-Doping Agency, said he would ensure full compliance with doping in all sports, including athletics, which saw a number of high profile cases of doping earlier this year.

"We asked for samples of 220 players during the championship kabaddi, of which 53 were positive or refused to give their samples," said CEO Rahul Bhatnagar Nothing. "We were surprised by the high number of positive results since the beginning and test more participants than we had originally planned."

Three of the quartet - Ashwini Akkunji, Mandeep Kaur and Sini Jose - tested positive for doping. Jauna Murmu, Princess Mary and Priyanka Panwar also tested positive. Akkunji, Joseph and tested positive for methandienone Panwar, while Murmu and Mary tested positive for epimethandiol, and Kaur for stanozolol.
