"Ultimately, there is a strong argument for the elimination of political ownership of media and merger decisions. In his letter to Hunt, Lewis said that ministers should withdraw the approval process in the long run, but only if the existing legislation was in emergency moves instead an urgent need to bridge the gap that could allow Murdoch to bid, just once more for control of BSkyB. The negative movement was placed in both Houses of Parliament on his return on September 5.
