The bar can bridge the gap
lawyers should stop insulting the defense counsel and to take steps to combine the two professions
An interesting discussion is going on about the merger between the two leading legal professionals: notaries and lawyers. Defenders of the bar and his lawyer are now almost in the throat of others. Finally, and to his credit, the Society decided to create an organization, the Bar Association, to support the defenders lawyer - as well as hotels in the court by a lawyer. This will ensure best practices are confirmed and provide advice, support and assistance to lawyers lawyer. It's a role that could have led the Law Society for over ten years, but decided it was a little too far.
The Bar Council has been asked to assist, but was openly critical of lawyers and lawyer has withdrawn from any suggestion of cooperation. Lawyers now face real competition, and increasing the defense counsel. And defense lawyers will increase in number, experience and confidence. So, is this duplication of time, effort and money on training really necessary?
noticed a recent insult of the Bar Standards Board (BSB) lawyers, including the Bar Council and BSB owners are never retracted. The Bar Association seems to see as little more "unnecessary intermediaries." I guess this is the attempt to impose direct access to the bar a lawyer to an uninformed public.
shortcut bar has implications for the bar itself and the public. It can not be shipped overnight in a meaningful way that will allow the public trust. This means that lawyers must deal with customer accounts, contact witnesses, experts and customers, organizational and general office administration. It will take time to learn and master, but can be very laborious, and add to operating costs of the practice. This means that an insurance covering damage expensive public and to protect the public. The bar seriously want everything?
If the shortcut bar really want, no doubt they can, or should, be lawyers, pass various tests on the need for appropriate accounting office, to address the Commission legal services, compensation funds, the late night, attendance at police stations and so on - again all for the benefit and protection of the public. These are questions that lawyers have tried for many years and on which lawyers are experienced.
Joining forcesIf supporters of notary and lawyers take the same job, why not merge the professions at the right time? This would save money and improve standards of both types of defense, if indeed there is a real (rather than perceived) problem with the standards and competencies of counsel lawyer. The merger is not a panacea for the problems, but it seems that the future lies in a common profession. The alternative is an alternative business structure (ABS) composed of lawyers and lawyers who work together, but the day of the ABS has just arrived and still do not know if this is viable as a structure of company.
- Fusion also gives opportunities better and fairer for young lawyers in practice, lawyers and prosecutors. Find a contract for the formation of a lawyer is not easy. Lawyer internship followed by a lease is unfair to young lawyers, in fact, find an internship is a dream for many - most effect. So perhaps it's time to take the archaic practice and dining mandatory in hostels, and lawyers spend time basic education and address the legal administration of better equip them for the life in the modern legal world.
