State pension age rise delayed by six months

The government says

increased retirement age to 66 will arrive in October 2020 - six months later than expected

When the retirement age of State was set at 65 in 1926, there were nine people of working age for every pensioner. Currently there are three people of working age for every pensioner and decrease to about two at the end of this century.
