Hiddink hints at interest in Chelsea return

Guus Hiddink has not ruled out a return to Chelsea after the termination of his contract as coach of Turkey, by mutual consent.

The Turkish Football Federation announced that Hiddink had left the newspaper Wednesday, after the failure of the national team to reach the European Championships next summer.

of Turkey to Croatia in the Euro 2012 play-off ended their hopes of reaching the tournament in Poland and Ukraine.

Hiddink Chelsea managed between February and May 2009, leading to FA Cup success. He has a good relationship with Russia, the Premier League club, Roman Abramovich, and came to speak with emotion of his time in London.

"I'll take a few days off and then we'll see what happens, but I had a wonderful time in England," Hiddink is quoted by the Daily Telegraph. "It was great to Chelsea, a great moment, but that does not mean I'm ready to start tomorrow. I need time to think."

André Villas-Boas

is the manager of Chelsea, now after replacing Carlo Ancelotti in the summer but Hiddink seems willing to consider a team manager or a similar function in the future. However, do not think a return to Holland after being linked to a potential position at Ajax.

Hiddink leaving work in Turkey was confirmed in a statement on the official website of the FFT, saying: "After the meeting between the Turkish Football Federation's Executive Committee and the Technical Director for Turkey Guus Hiddink, the Dutchman's contract was terminated by mutual consent.

"We thank Guus Hiddink for his services during their work, and we wish him well in his future career."


Hiddink, who also managed Holland, South Korea, Australia and Russia in the international arena, took over the national team of Turkey in August last year and will resign after only 15 months. Contract
