authors are paired with scientists and engineers at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, in a two-day workshop in November, where the unnamed writers still have access to NASA data, facilities and experts, and learn about space exploration. NASA and the publisher will then perform a series of novels based on the science - the "NASA inspired fiction" online -. Based on "concepts relevant to the missions of existing agencies and future operations"

"It is my hope that by working with NASA to create new stories of science and discovery that will inspire the next generation of explorers and inventors, as everything starts with imagination - with stories and dreams of better things to come, "said Tor-founder, Tom Doherty." When I was a child, the books of Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein and his colleagues, I was hit, Inspired by a fascination with space and science and technology that we get there. "Ultimately this agreement will benefit the taxpayers as we seek innovative ways to train students for the challenges of the future of science," said Nona Cheeks, who heads the Goddard Innovative Partnerships.
