Alec Guinness personal letters and diaries acquired by British Library

On 12 July 1989, one of the best actors of his generation is reflected in his diary about the death of another. If Sir Alec Guinness thoughtswords praise for Sir Laurence Olivier were extracted as promoters of Theatre Critics usually made with "write-ups, could be interpreted as a rave review.
